Le Snookball tire son originalité de la structure. En effet, la table de jeu est un billard géant de 3m60 x 6m60. La table peut être posée à même le sol, ce qui nécessite l’aménagement des renforts afin de stocker les ballons ; ou bien il peut être surélevé de 45cm afin de conserver la chute des billes au moment de l’empochage.

When a player commits any of the following fouls, the opponent can take a free shot as long as they do not commit a foul on their first attempt:
- Hitting a ball that does not have the lowest number first
- If the white ball does not hit any balls
When a player commits any of the following fouls, the opponent can place the white ball wherever they want, although they only get one shot
- Pocketing the white ball
- Hitting the white ball off the table
Balls pocketed during a foul are not put back onto the table, except the 9, which is returned to the Foot Spot The player whose turn it is next has an open table, before they take the first shot. If a player commits several fouls during the same shot, only one foul is counted

Aim of the game
To win the game, the player must pocket the 9 ball. To do this, they must first use the white ball to hit the ball with the lowest number. However, the balls do not necessarily have be pocketed in numerical order. A game ends when one player wins the number of rounds required. The game is played over several rounds, with the number of rounds being set beforehand.
How to play:
Initial ball set-up
The table has the same markings as the one for 8 ball pool. For 9 ball pool, the balls are arranged using a diamond rack. The 1 ball is placed at the top of the diamond, on the Foot Spot, and the 9 ball in the centre. All the other balls are placed around the 9 in no particular order.
The player places the white ball wherever they like behind the starting line. A break is valid when:
the 1 ball is hit first
The game is won when the player performs makes a legal break by pocketing the 9.
A player's turn lasts as long as they keep legally potting balls, until they miss a shot, commit a foul, or win the game by potting the 9 ball. After a missed shot, the opponent who takes over should resume play with the white in the position where it was left.
